Integrated Device Technology has released a family of precision temperature sensors for DDR2 and DDR3 memory modules, and computing motherboards. The thermal sensors support 3.3 and 2.5V SM-Bus and I2C interface for good system power efficiency and are compatible with serial bus controllers. They have on-die power management features that minimise power consumption during critical modes, such as when mobile or fault-tolerant enterprise systems are operating on battery power. The product family includes the TS3000GB2 and the TSE2002GB2 sensors, which has an integrated 256byte EEPROM array on a single, monolithic die. The sensors meet the needs of the JEDEC JC42.4 specification for Grade B temperature sensors by providing ±1°C temperature sensing accuracy over the temperature range of -20 to +125°C.
