Aaeon has launched a COM with onboard Intel Atom D525, D425, and N455 processors. The company claims that the ETX-LN COM delivers good performance in a small power envelope and extends the longevity of ETX based designs. The module has an ICH8M I/O controller hub and supports a system memory of up to 2Gbyte by using one 204pin small outline dual in-line memory module socket. It offers one 10 and 100Base-TX Ethernet for network connectivity purposes.
I/O demands are met by four USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232 ports and a parallel port. For storage requirement, the module features two SATA 3.0Gbit/s ports and an onboard SSD (solid state disk) of up to 16Gbyte. According to the company, the onboard SSD helps in simplifying the system configuration and reduces overall cost. Additionally, the module offers both LVDS and analogue video output in simultaneous and dual display modes. The module is suitable for test and measurement, gaming and entertainment applications, in addition to industrial automation industries.
