Claimed to be the industry's first devices to offer a capacitance value of 10µF at 12 or 21V and 500hours of continuous operation at 200°C, without the need for voltage derating, the TH5 HI TMP Tantamount surface mount, tantalum chip capacitors are from Vishay Intertechnology. The company says that the closest competing device offers a maximum operating voltage of only 5V. The capacitors are optimised for oil exploration and drilling sensing systems; industrial applications related to the control of high-temperature materials; safety-critical industrial tools and products; as well as automotive applications. The capacitors are in a moulded package in the 7.3x4.3x4mm E case. They operate from -55 to +200°C, and have capacitance tolerances of ±10 and ±20%. The RohS-compliant devices have gold-plated terminations.
