A family of common mode filter devices from ON Semiconductor feature integrated ESDprotection to suppress noise and provide strong signal integrity. The EMI2121, EMI4182 and EMI4183 devices are suitable for smartphones, tablets, wireless connectivity dongles and digital camcorders, in addition to set top boxes and DVD players. The EMI2121 single pair, EMI4182 dual pair, and EMI4183 triple pair common mode filters offer a common mode rejection of 15dB at a frequency of 500MHz and an insertion loss of 1dB at 500MHz. They incorporate high differential mode bandwidth cut off frequency that ensures high levels of signal integrity. The integrated ESD protection meets a peak discharge of 15kV to the IEC61000-4-2 standard. The common mode filters support an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C and each of the devices has a clamping voltage of 32V. The devices are optimised for protecting high speed differential ports using the MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface) DSI, and MIPI CSI2 interface standards. The filters also support data speeds of up to 3.4Gbit/s. The EMI2121, EMI4182, and EMI4183 are offered in 2.2x2.0x0.75mm QDFN8, 2.5x2x0.75mm 10pin WDFN, and 4x2x0.75mm 16pin WDFN packages, respectively.
