The VFT series of 150W single output AC/DC power supplies from XP Power are packaged within the 3x5inch format and measure 1.4inch high, The VFT150 power supplies provide 150W output when force-cooled with 15 cubic feet/minute airflow. Alternatively using convection cooling alone, the units can provide up to 100W output. The power supplies operate from an input of 90 to 264V AC and have active power factor correction. Providing outputs of +5, +12, +15, + 24 or +48V DC, the power supplies comply with the company's green power limits by having a no load power consumption of less that 0.5W and an average efficiency ranging from 83 to 90%. The company claims that the power supplies enable designers to achieve well-recognised environmental standards. The power supplies also include over-voltage, overload and short-circuit protection, tight load and line regulation together with a remote sense capability. The 12V model of the power supply is also available with optional blocking diode. The power supplies deliver full power from -10 to +50°C with derating up to 70°C. They meet UL60950-1 and EN60950-1 safety specifications for IT, commercial and industrial equipment. In addition, the power supplies comply with EN550022 level B standard for both conducted and radiated emissions.
