Premo has introduced EMC filters that are specifically designed for lifting equipment and machines with variable speed, such as elevators or escalators. The FVDB family of EMC filters satisfies the 2004/108/EC directive, according to EN12015:2005 standard, for EMC conductive emission tests. The filters are available from 7 to 250A and can operate in applications with voltages of 520V AC. They are also available in the 720V AC version. Connections are made with safety terminal blocks, and are sized according to the current.
The company has developed a manual of best practices to minimise the conductive emissions of the installation where these devices are installed. This manual includes recommended schemes to help meet the limits established by the EN12015:2005 standard. The company's FVDT, FVDT-D, FVSB, FVRB, and P-0999 series of EMC filters are also developed according to EN60939 and UL1283 standards.
