Stackpole has achieved UL Recognised Component status for the 4W axial leaded fusible wirewound SP3A Series by qualifying to UL1412 specifications. The wirewound series has a welded element which integrates the surge handling characteristics associated with wirewound resistors, with the failsafe operation required by UL1412.

The wirewounds are suitable for protecting monitors, TVs and displays, as well as appliances. They are also well suited for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning monitoring and control systems, safety and security systems, and other commercial and industrial power and control applications. These applications require robust continuous power and pulse power handling in a circuit protection resistor. The wirewounds are available in tape and reel packaging.
