The single-width AdvancedMC processor board from N.A.T. is designed using Freescale's QorIQ P4080 processor and Xilinx' Virtex-6 FPGA. The company claims that the NAMC-QorIQ-P40 advanced mezzanine card board meets the increasing requirement for protocol processing applications. The board, with a frequency of 1.5GHz, is suitable for MicroTCA and AdvancedTCA platforms in medical, aerospace and telecommunications markets. The communications processor is suitable for LTE equipment and for time-critical data processing applications. The company provides a set of IP cores that support intelligent time-division multiplexer, real-time transport protocol and IEE1588 or picture transfer protocols. The board provides two banks of 64bit DDR3 DRAM with a speed of up to 4Gbit. The board also provides a XAUI (10 gigabit attachment unit interface) at SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable), GbE and USB 2.0 interface.
