Mill-Max has released single and double row solder cup spring pin header strips that deliver a convenient method to make connections between wires and mating components such as P.C. boards and batteries. The solder cup spring pin headers are suitable for wire termination in both test and field applications where stack up tolerances or blind-mating can be a challenge. Each spring pin provides .0275inch of mid-stroke compression and is rated for one million cycles.
Uniform orientation of the solder cups facilitate in convenient soldering of the cables or discrete wires to the spring pins by eliminating the need to manipulate the wires or the connector to solder each wire. The solder cup is sized to accommodate up to a 22 American Wire Gauge wire. Once the wires are soldered in the cups, a wired spring-loaded assembly is formed. This is suitable for discreet wire to board, cable to board or cable to cable applications.
Gold-plated brass components and beryllium copper springs ensure high conductivity, corrosion resistance and durability. The 824 and 826 series of headers feature spring-loaded pins that are rated at 3A maximum.
