The PLTT thin film resistor from Vishay Intertechnology features an expanded resistance range from 250Ω to 3MΩ and is now offered in 0805, 1206, 2010, and 2512 case sizes. The resistors operate from -55 to +215°C and feature a temperature co-efficient of resistance of ±5ppm/°C. They have tolerances down to ±0.02% and a low noise of less than -35dB. The resistor offers a power rating from 250 to 1000mW and operates over a voltage range from 100 to 200V. They also have a low voltage co-efficient of 0.01ppm/V. The resistor is optimised for low-noise, single-signal processing functions that are required to compensate for low offset and temperature drift in high-temperature environments. It is suitable for down-hole applications, high-precision oil and gas exploration, and telecommunications and industrial equipment. The resistor features a ceramic substrate, 10 to 20μin gold terminations over a nickel barrier for HMP soldering and corrosion-resistant special passivation method enhancement. The resistor is compliant with RoHS directive 2002/95/EC, halogen-free according to the IEC 61249-2-21 definition, and is flame-resistant in accordance to UL 94 V-0 specifications.
