Available free of charge, a new application guide from MicroPower Direct,
provides information on ways to power and control high brightness LEDs. The note can be downloaded as a pdf and covers many of the common problems encountered in powering LEDs, and includes circuit diagrams illustrating I/O circuits; analogue and PWM dimming and contol; and protection devices. Also included are a list of common terms and a short history of the LED.
