Harting has developed a series of data cables that guarantee transmission in accordance with the IEEE 802.3an 10 GBase-D Ethernet standard. The company claims that the data cables are designed to meet the demand for improved network components. The cables satisfy the requirements of Category 6A according to IEC 6156-6 and are enclosed in industrial-grade cable sheaths. They are available in both PVC and polyurethane sheaths. The data cables are also available in two types with UL approval for the US and Canadian markets, in addition to an outdoor version for use in external environments. The data cables feature a shielded pairs in metal foil design with optimum EMC characteristics. They are suitable for use in automation, machinery and control systems applications and can also be used for high-level building infrastructures.
