Radiall has introduced composite BNC 75Ω HDTV connectors that are suitable for studio quality broadcast production of video conferencing equipment applications. The HDTV connector has a two-piece design that helps it to crimp on the cable. It can handle data rates up to 3Gbit/s or more while meeting or exceeding SMPTE 292M and 424M standards. The gold-plated centre and outer contacts provide good electrical performance with a frequency range of up to 6GHz, and a low return loss of -32dB at 3GHz. In addition, it has a minimum of 1000 mating cycles for good durability in the field.
The connector is available in many colours for signal cable identification and its curved interface composite material design with positioning marks helps in connection and disconnection from the rear in high-density and recessed bulkhead applications. The connectors are also suitable for high-performance HD cables.
