TE Circuit Protection has announced the 2410SFV family of 20 AC/DC fuses featuring current ratings from 0.5 to 20A. Applications include home appliances such as LCD TV LED backlighting, LCD TV CCFL backlighting and LED lighting, and office automation, industrial and medical equipment. The fuses are available in a thin SMD package of 6.1x2.5mm, and they offer I²t (time vs current) characteristics. They also offer a cold resistance DCR from 0.0034 to 0.231Ω and an interrupt current from 50 to 300A. They operate from -55 to 125°C, and their inrush current withstand capability minimises the nuisance tripping. When used as WIA (wire in air) fuses, they feature a straight wire configuration. When used as surface-mount devices, they provide a single-piece package and are compatible with standard pick-and-place SMD processes.
