Connectors for the aerospace and defence industry will be seen at Molex's stand at DSEi. The company will showcase EXTreme Power, high-current modules, that range from 16A blades to 150A modules. They are designed specifically for space-constrained applications. An array of backplane interconnects will also be on show that deliver on the industry's need for increased network bandwidth in mission-critical systems, while maximising signal integrity. For example, there is the VITA 57 FMC (FPGA mezzanine connector) standard, SEARAY high-speed board-to-board products, which are designed with the company's patented Solder Charge SMT technology, which are claimed to provide best-in-class process yields and support a mixed-digital and analogue format. Targeting radar and radio systems there is also a range of radio frequency connectors for high- and low-volume assemblies covering frequencies up to 50GHz. A range of coaxial cable options and interfaces is available in accordance with MIL-C17, MIL-PRF-39012 and MIL-STD-348 specifications, with sealed coaxial designs that meet IP68 in the unmated condition. The company's SlimStack stacking connectors offer low-profiles while the double wall strength design offers resistance to shock and vibration.
