GE Energy Power Electronics has announced the availability of the Lineage Power Hammerhead series of industrial DC/DC circuit board power conversion modules. The modules offer an input voltage range from 18 to 75V DC with total efficiency architecture technology. Designed for temperature conditions of -40 to +85°C, the DC/DC converters are claimed to help design engineers achieve electrical isolation. The modules are available in eighth-brick DOSA standard footprints with three output models rated for 12V at 6A, 5V at 15A or 3.3V at 20A. The conversion modules are suitable for use in robotics, test and measurement equipment, medical devices, navigation systems, automotive electronics and cellular infrastructure devices. According to the company, the open frame module construction, available in both surface-mount and through-hole packages, helps minimise circuit board real estate usage, while ensuring DOSA footprint compatibility. All the conversion modules are claimed to achieve typical, full load efficiency over 92% at VIN of 24V DC and more than 90% at VIN of 48V DC. Standard features include remote on/off, remote sense, output voltage adjustment, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection.
