Based on advanced phosphor technology, the ExceLED family by Rohm Semiconductor has refined wavelength rank sorting as well as four-element chips and wafer processing. The LEDs are claimed to facilitate wavelength customisation and emit custom colours. In addition to the eight standard colours dark red, red, orange, yellow, yellow-green, green, blue, and white, six optional colours (pink, blue-green, blue lagoon, saphire blue ,ice blue, incandescent bulb colour) can be offered for automotive, consumer, gaming and industrial uses. Designers can choose an ultra-thin packaging of 1.6x0.8x0.36mm (0603) up to 3x2x1.3mm (1206). Standard, top-view, side-view and reverse-mount types are available. Power dissipation is 54mW; forward current is 20mA and peak forward current is 100mA/1kHz. Operating range is -40 to +100°C.
