Swissbit has introduced the series S-200µ microSD to extend its line of SD (securedigital) cards for embedded systems and industrial applications. According to the company, the cards feature lifetime monitoring functions and power loss protection system.
The patented power-loss management system provides data integrity and prevents data corruption during an unexpected loss of power, claims the company. The modules use SLC (single level cell) NAND Flash components. They are claimed to allow 100,000 write/erase-cycles, assure data preservation up to 10 years, and have performance rate of 25Mbyte/s.
The microSD is available in densities from 512Mbyte to 2Gbyte. The card operates from -25 to +85°C TAmbient. The industrial temperature version operates at -40 to +85°C TAmbient.
