Sealevel Systems has introduced the SBC-R9-2100 ARM9 RISC, single-board, embedded computer, which includes standard I/O such as Ethernet, serial, USB, audio, and digital I/O. For wireless connectivity, an 802.11b/g option is available in the embedded computer. Based on the 200MIPS Atmel AT91SAM9263 microcontroller with a 32bit ARM instruction set, the system is suitable for embedded applications requiring small size, wide operating temperature range, and flexible I/O connectivity, claims the company. Measuring 4.9x3.9inch in size, the computer has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C and can be powered by a 7 to 30V DC source. The computer includes the Windows CE 6.0 BSP binary and low-level drivers for system I/O. Its software package is equipped with the company's Talos I/O Framework, which offers a high-level, object-oriented, .NET CF (compact framework) device interface to simplify application development, claims the company. A QuickStart development kit is available in the computer. According to the company, developers can use the embedded computer as a platform for application development for applications with specialised hardware requirements.
