The CVCO55CXT-6250-6250 CRO (coaxial resonator oscillator) from Crystek is a coaxial voltage-controlled oscillator with an internal proprietary frequency doubler, which uses the 2X fundamental technology. The oscillator operates at 6250MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 to 4.5V DC. The oscillator has a typical phase noise of -100dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset and has good linearity. It exhibits an output power of 2.0dBm typical into a 50Ω load with a supply of 8V DC and a current consumption of 35mA maximum. The oscillator is housed in a 0.5x0.5inch package. Pushing and pulling are both minimised to 1.5MHz/V and 0.5MHz, respectively, says the company. Second harmonic suppression is -30dBc typical. The oscillator is suitable for digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and basestations.
