Advanced Micro Peripherals has introduced a dual-channel, H264 encoder card, the H264-ULL-cPCI, for CompactPCI systems. The encoder is claimed to be suitable for time-critical applications as it offers low latency encoding of below 40ms across the full capture resolution range. It supports two H264 encode channels at resolutions up to 1080p30 or a single encode at 1080p60. The board has two analogue HD video input channels. Each HD channel can be independently configured for analogue YPbPr, analogue RGsB (sync on green), and analogue VGA, separate HSync, VSync. The encoder is suitable for applications in defence, traffic systems, and instrumentation. The module is available in the -40 to +85°C temperature range and is supported by Windows, Linux, and QNX.
