Designed for outdoor lighting and sound control systems, the PS200-48-32-GR wide input range AC/DC single output power supply is from Gresham Power. The input range of 90 288V AC is designed to be used from AC power available from stadium and outdoor power sources. The single output is customer selectable between 32 and 48V DC at 200W. They can be used instead of taking power from street lighting, which may be up to 277V and which would stress conventional switch mode power supplies; reducing reliability or causing them to fail immediately. The supply also allows the user to select the required output voltage, simplifying the end system design process and reducing inventory, says the company. The supply has a typical efficiency of 86% at 230V AC and full load, power factor of 0.90 typical at 230V AC. Hold-up time is 16ms minimum. Brown out, over-voltage, over- current and over-temperature protection is included. The operating temperature range is from -5 to +50ºC with an optional -40ºC version exterior range available on request. Dimensions are 27x84x38mm and the supply weighs 700g maximu. The unit meets FCC CLASS B, CISPR 22 CLASS B, EN55022 CLASS B with external line filter and meets all international safety agency approvals. It is CE-marked and has an expected MTBF greater than 300,000 hours at 30°C.
