Designed specially with no moving parts, the fanless APC-3081 from DSL features a 1.1 or 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor with Gbit LAN, two USB 2.0 ports, an RS-232 port, 1Gbyte DDR2 memory and an optional integral Bluetooth module. The 8inch, 800x600 400cd/m² TFT with resistive touchscreen provides wide viewing angles of 100 by 140°, illuminated by an LED backlight. Predicted life is 40,000 hours. Weighing just 3kg and housed in a compact IP65-rated black die-cast enclosure. The PC has an operating temperature range of -20 to +60°C. The PC can be supplied pre-installed with Windows CE 5.0, Windows XP or Windows XPe. Certified to CE and FCC Class A, it is suitable for industrial applications; the 6 to 36V DC input range also makes it well-suited for in-vehicle and marine projects.
