Wurth Electronics has developed a series of current compensated SMD (surface mount device) data line filters, specifically for applications in the high frequency range.
The components have a high common-mode attenuation through their winding geometry, and have no influence on the differential data signals, claims the company. Applications include USB 2.0 and 3.0 FireWire, LVDS, HDMI and other high speed data lines.
The WE-CNSW HF series is designed for operating temperatures of -40 to +125°C. Three versions are available such as 67Ω type for USB 3.0, 90Ω for HDMI, and 120Ω for LVDS and USB 2.0.
