High-gain, two-stage LNAs from use GaAs pHEMT and GaAs HBT technology that is claimed to offer very low noise figure, high linearity and excellent return loss in a small, quad flat, 4x4mm leadless package. According to the company, on-die, active-bias design ensures consistent performance and enables unconditional stability. The pHEMT front-end enables low noise figure, while the HBT-based output stage provides high linearity and efficiency, says the company. The SKY67105-306LF (0.6 to 1.1GHz) and the SKY67106-306LF (1.5 to 3GHz) high gain, LNAs are suitable for cellular infrastructure applications such as tower mounted amplifiers, remote radio units, repeaters and basestations. The amplifiers also enable small, cost sensitive receivers to offer low noise amplification (up to 0.75db), high linearity (+38dBm OIP3), and higher gain (over 32db) than typically provided by a single stage LNA.
