Crystek has launched the CCHD-575, a phase noise CMOS oscillator providing a -168dB/Hz, relative to the carrier, noise floor. The clock oscillator is available in a 5x7.5mm package.
The oscillator features a phase jitter of 82fs RMS at 100MHz. Close-in phase noise is -90dB/Hz, relative to the carrier, at 10Hz. The phase noise oscillator is suitable in applications such as DACs, ADCs, signal sources, and test and measurement.
The oscillator generates frequencies between 50 and 130MHz. Its output driver can drive ±24mA, translating to a rise or fall time of ~600ps at 100MHz with a 15pF load. Input supply voltage of 3.3V DC consuming 15mA of current is required. Extended temperature operates at -40 to +85°C is also available.
