TRUMPower has added the TMA250 250W AC/DC power adapters to its range of medical power supplies. They provide DC output voltages ranging from 12 to 48V and feature a 90 to 264V AC universal input and 0.9 active power factor. Efficiency is 87% minimum and no-load power consumption is 0.5W maximum, enabling the power adapters to meet CEC and Energy Star Level V standards. The units are supplied with a standard IEC320/C14 AC inlet and a Molex Mini-Fit 6pin or APP PP45-1345 DC output connector. They withstand 5656V DC from input to output and 2121V DC from input to ground. The power adapters feature a low leakage current of 228µA at 264V AC. There is over-voltage, over-load, and short-circuit protection. Equipped with a thermally-controlled cooling fan, the models can be fully loaded at temperatures ranging from -20 to +40°C. The units deliver 140k hours and MTBF at full load at 25°C ambient according to Mil-HDBK-217F. The models comply with RoHS requirements and EMC standards that include EN60601-1-2, EN55011 & FCC part 18 Class B. Additionally, they are UL, TUV, CB, CE approved to UL 60601-1, EN 60601-1, IEC 60601-1, and CSA C22.2 No. 601.1 medical standards.
