Distributor TTI now has the capability to assemble Souriau's 38999 circular connectors with Black Zinc Nickel plating at its new facility near Munich, Germany. The Black Zn Ni plating is a RoHS-compliant alternative plating process which is QPL-listed and is the first product which has been qualified by the US Defense standards organisation (DLA Land and Maritime). It offers high corrosion resistance , up to 500 hours salt spray. The environmentally friendly process is claimed to offer the best RoHS-compliant 38999 in terms of price and performance for aerospace, defence and ruggedised industrial equipment. The plating which meets the restrictions of cadium and Cr6 is available from the distributor on Souriau's 38999 Series III aluminium connector range. There is no minimum order quantity.
