Mean Well has introduced 40 and 60W metal case LED power supplies, the HLG-40H and the HLG-60H, for use in middle to low wattage LED lighting applications. These power supplies have four options, A, B, blank, and D type, in different mechanisms and customisable input and output design. A type has two holes on the cover, which allow adjustment of DC output voltage range from 60 to 100% without opening the case. The B type is equipped with three-in-one dimming function. The optional D-type has the timer dimming function. This model will start up the internal timer controlled by the microcontroller with pre-set counting programme in which up to three time periods can be set to adjust the output current in each period, says the company. The blank type has basic features, without voltage and current adjustment function. Featuring a 90 to 305V AC input, the power supplies suit general 115 or 230V AC main input and can be operated under 277V AC input. They have a built-in two stage active PFC function and comply with harmonic current limitation to EN61000-3-2 Class C, more than 60% load. The supplies have short circuit, over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection and also comply with UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE including UL8750 and EN61347-2-13 of lighting regulations. They are housed in aluminum cases measuring 171x61.5x36.8mm.
