RFMD's RFHA1023 is a 36V 225W high power discrete amplifier, suitable for L-Band pulsed radar, air traffic control and surveillance, and general purpose broadband amplifier applications. The amplifier is a high terminal impedance matched power transistor with 55% drain efficiency, and is available in a hermetic, flanged ceramic package that provides thermal stability with heat sink and power dissipation technologies.
According to the company, ease of integration is accomplished through the incorporation of single, optimised matching networks that provide wideband gain and power performance in a single amplifier covering the 1.2 to 1.4GHz frequency band. The amplifier features optimised evaluation board layout for 50Ω operation. It has a pulse width of 1ms with 10% duty cycle, and has 15dB signal gain.
