Silego Technology has announced the GreenPAK 2, which is a 2.5x2.5mm, 12pin TDFN (thin dual flat no leads) one-time programmable logic IC with programmable analogue components. The IC is designed to perform 4- and 8bit microcontroller applications, or work in conjunction with the company's other configurable mixed-signal ICs. The IC is configured with the company's GreenPAK Designer software on either Windows or MAC OS using a USB-based GreenPAK programmer or emulation board. The software is intuitive with its graphical configuration of the circuit being designed and requires no programming languages or compliers, says the company. The on-board finite state machine, logic, counters, delays, ADC, voltage reference, oscillator, and PWM allow for applications such as proximity, motion, and temperature sensor interfaces, LED drivers, motor controllers, touch sensing, and over-voltage protection. The IC is the logic and mixed signal element of the company's configurable mixed-signal ICs product line, focusing on reducing component count by removing power on resets in large computation and communication system boards, says the company. The ICs have been used in designs to remove power on resets, sensor interface ICs, delay and timing logic, power good circuits, capacitors, resistors and other circuit elements, according to the company.
