Unmanaged Ethernet switches from Red Lion Controls are offered in four, five or eight ports. The NT100 series delivers automatic speed, duplex and cable sensing. The switches are rugged, with hardened metal enclosures and are UL-approved for used in Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. The IEEE 802.3 layer two network switches can connect to multiple devices over Ethernet, without manual configuration. They can auto-negotiate 10/100Mbit networks and half or full duplex communications and are claimed to avoid failures associated with interlinking devices with different duplex configurations. The switches are also equipped with auto-crossing detection that supports standard and crossover Ethernet cables. They operate in the -40 to +70°C temperature range. The switches have 16kV port protection and redundant power inputs.
