The Escon 36/2 DC is a compact, four-quadrant PWM servo controller that offers efficient control of brushed permanent-magnet activated DC motors up to approximately 72W. The drift-free yet extremely dynamic speed behaviour enables a speed range of 1 to 150,000RPM, says Maxon Motor. The controller has configurable digital and analogue inputs and outputs and is matched to the company's range of motors and can run in various operating modes (speed controller (closed loop), speed controller (open loop), current controller). It is controlled by an analogue set value which can be specified by an analogue voltage, an external or internal internal potentiometer, a defined value or by means of a PWM signal with variable duty cycle. The power stage can be enable or disabled, depending on the direction of rotation.
