Expanding the industrial Ethernet range available from MPL, Guard-F1 has three Gbit Ethernet interfaces for remote monitoring and maintenance or secure communications. Two of the interfaces are available as copper or SFP ports; the third is a copper port. The specially designed housing allows operation in harsh environments without fan or ventilation holes, and can be mounted on a 35mm DIN rail or wall. The compact housing measures 62x120x162mm and offers sufficient space to add for example a managed Gigabit switch. Military-standard houses are also available. The internal miniPCIe slot, allows extensions such as WLAN, GPRS. There is also an external USB connector and a microSD memory card slot for logging or configuration. The router has a wide input voltage of eight to 36V DC.
