With the CAN-IB120/PCI Express mini, Ixxat extends its PCI Express card series with a PCI Express mini format board with two CAN channels and galvanically isolated interfaces, which measures 30x51mm. In addition to the passive CAN-IB100/PCI Express and the active CAN-IB200/PCI Express interface, the mini can implement the CAN interface in applications with limited space, says the company. The cards are equipped with up to four CAN interfaces, switchable to low-speed, and with up to four LIN or K-line interfaces. For intelligent onboard handling and active filtering of messages to be sent and received, the active board uses a 32bit microcontroller system. To connect to a PC, the cards are available with the company's VCI (virtual CAN interface) driver. The boards can be used in industrial and automotive applications.
