A dual channel MOSFET driver from Intersil, the ISL89367, can drive two outputs each with 6A of peak drive current. The driver is suitable for switching power supplies, motor drivers and Class-D amplifiers. The driver's voltages range from 4.5 to 16V. Programmable switching delay times prevent shoot-through current between MOSFETs and optimise maximum efficiency and reduce EMI, says the company. For isolated applications, the driver's precision logic input thresholds of ±3.75% simplifies the design of synchronous rectification on the secondary side of the transformer. Internal timers can be programmed to provide up to 270ns of drive delay. The driver features 25ns propogation delay, and rise and fall times of 20ns. It also features on-resistance of 1Ω and has miller plateau drive current of 5A. The driver is available in a 3x5mm, 16pin TDFN package.
