Crystek's CVCOT8BE-0800-1600 TO-8 VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) operates from 800 to 1600MHz and provides frequency control in harsh environments. The VCO features a phase noise of -92dBc/Hz, relative to the carrier, at 10kHz offset and linearity. Tuning sensitivity is rated at 79MHz/V. Pulling and pushing are minimised to 20 and 4MHz/V, respectively; second harmonic suppression is -10dBc.
The oscillator features a full-functioning VCO in a rugged, hermetically sealed TO-8 package to protect the VCO from moisture and contaminants. The metal-can construction features gold plated pins with no internal wire bonds for signal integrity, claims the company.
The VCO features a control voltage range of 0 to 20V with an input voltage of 15V.
Maximum current consumption is 20mA and output power is 10dBm. It has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C.
