Hitachi Display Products Group has introduced a compact 8inch, wide aspect ratio, TFT display. The TX20D28VM2BAB has a display resolution of 800x480pixels WVGA, an integrated LVDS data interface. The latest transmissive display continues the company's integration of high brightness LED backlights in medium size TFT display. The white LED backlight helps to provide good image uniformity and delivers a brightness of 550nits with a half brightness lifetime of 40kh, says the company. The display measures 189x120x7.5mm and weighs 170g. A 20pin LVDS data interface supports a colour palette of up to 262k colours. The display operates between -20 and +70°C and is suitable for applications such as in industrial user interfaces, domotics, marine navigation and media entertainment systems.
