The CL2-BRASS from EKF is a Gigabit Ethernet switch which is available as 3U CompactPCI peripheral board. Its 8HP front panel is provided with five M12-style GbE circular connectors. As an option, a sixth GbE channel is reserved for CompactPCI backplane communication. The switch is equipped with the Marvell 88E6350R switch, which has a feature set, including the latest 802.1 AVB (audio video bridging) standards. The switch may be operated as a stand-alone card, powered from a single 5V external supply. For backplane communication, an additional on-board GbE controller is internally connected to the switch. The switch is suitable for industrial communication and transportation.
