Radar has introduced the DPCSS (digital pulse compression sub-systems), which is compatible in form, fit and function when upgrading existing compression radars that are usually SAW-based, claims the company. The technology is claimed to offer a high instantaneous dynamic range, with side lobe level up to 5dB high than SAW alternatives and angular measurements, ensuring good stability and reproducibility. It also enables high flexibility through programmable parameters, according to the company. Due to its design with mother board and daughter board, only the mother board has to be designed according to the interfaces in the radar where the sub-system will be plugged in. The system is tested according to MIL-STD-810G and is compliant to MIL-STD-461E.
