Claimed to be the industry's highest performance differential oscillators, the SiT9121 and SiT9122 MEMS silicon oscillators have 10PPM stability and 500fs jitter. The oscillators from SiTime are targeted at telecomms, storage and networking applications such as core and edge routers, SATA, SAS, FibreChannel host bus adapters, cloud storage, servers, wireless basestations and 10G Ethernet switches. They can be configured to specifications and shipped in 48hrs. The industry-standard footprint allows them to be used to replace quartz differential oscillators without any design or layout changes, says the company. The SiT9121 operates from one to 220MHz and the SiT9122 operates in the 220 to 650MHz frequency range. Programmable frequency is to six decimal places and the oscillators have configurable LVPECL and LVDS signaling levels.
