E-Switch has announced the KJD17 series pushbutton switch. According to the company, the heavy duty switch offers an industrial design and a PVC cap for dust and water protection, equivalent to an IP54 rating. The pushbutton switch has an electromagnet inside the switch that provides automatic safety protection against power outages and restarts.

The switch has a life expectancy of 10,000 cycles and it is UL listed. It has contact ratings of 16A at 12, 220 and 240V AC. It provides 1/2HP at 120V AC, and 2HP at 220 and 240V AC. The switch features 50mΩ contact resistance and 100MΩ insulation resistance at 500V DC. It also features 1,500V AC dielectric strength for 1min and operates from -20 to +70°C.
