The RVC series from Stackpole is a medium voltage chip resistor. The resistors are designed to achieve high-voltage handling without requiring the use of materials or low speed high precision manufacturing processes, claims the company. Voltage ratings range from 100V for the 0402 size up to 3kV for the 2512 size. The resistors are claimed to provide standard 1 and 5% resistance tolerances and temperature coefficient of resistance values of 100ppm.
The resistors are suitable for patient monitoring equipment, test equipment, instrumentation, networking and telecomms equipment, motion and robotics controls, and high-voltage power supplies. They are also specified for applications requiring a resistor that can withstand repetitive electrostatic discharge events, says the company. The resistors are available in tape and reel packaging.
