Eaton has announced a modular three-phase BladeUPS, which is suitable for small and medium-sized data centres to protect blade servers and IT equipment. The company also offers a range of pre-packaged, power protection solutions for server rooms. The packages are available in six sizes, ranging from XS to XXL. The modular UPS is claimed to minimise operational expenses through its 98% operating efficiency. Power protection ranges from 12 to 60kW in N+1 configuration, with the 60kW N+1 available mounted in a single standard 19inch rack enclosure. Capacity can be expanded by combining 12kW 6U modules in a building-block fashion.
