Norplex-Micarta has introduced the WaveMax 8000, an woven glass fabric combined with a static dissipative epoxy resin. The solder pallet material offers good mechanical strength at continuous operating temperature over 180ºC. According to the company, the solder pallet is designed for wave soldering and IR re-flow applications, so it can endure temperatures approaching 300ºC for short periods of time.
The solder pallet material offers uniform ESD properties and machining capabilities. The solder pallets with thin walls are machined with unrivaled precision and retain the static dissipative properties demanded, claims the company.
WaveMax 5000 and WaveMax 6000 are both produced with a nonwoven random glass substrate.
