Adding to its I-Net offering, Provertha has developed a compact CAN-Bus connector for industrial communications and automation. It has two M12 connector interfaces and a 90° cable outlet for space-limited environments. A metal die-cast hood ensures EMI/RFI shielding and robustness in rough environments, claims the company. The connector does not need cable preparation nor cable shield connection to the bus connector before implementation. It just needs the field bus interface and the M12 cable assemblies need to be connected with the bus connector for the CAN-Bus implementation. The connector comes with standardised A-coding and carries all of the signals specified in the CAN-Bus standard, i.e. CAN-Low, CAN-High, and supply voltages V+ and V-. An external switch activates the termination resistor for the bus termination.
