Laird Technologies has expanded its EcE (electrically conductive elastomer) product line with the release of its EcE72 silicone gasket.
Utilising both conductive and non-conductive materials, the gasket is a nickel and graphite filled silicone elastomer that affords good EMI shielding properties and conductivity. Consisting of pure silicone, the gasket is claimed to provide a strong environmental seal at temperature extremes. It is flame retardant which is developed to meet UL94 V-0 standards, and mold and mildew resistant.
The gasket is suitable for applications that require EMI shielding above 100dB along with an environmental seal.
