Verotec has extended its range of modular pluggable power converters with the introduction of 11 models designed to comply with the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group 2.11 power interface specification. The supplies feature two independent converters operating in parallel to meet the compactPCI high current requirements on the 3.3 and 5V rails. All versions are 8HP wide and are available with 18 to 36V DC, 36 to 72V DC or auto-ranging 85 to 264V AC inputs. The 3U versions are rated at 200 or 300W, the 6U ones at 350, 400 or 500W. In addition, the 12V output is rated at 5A and the -12V at 1A. The supplies have active power factor correction to achieve a power factor of 0.98, and efficiency is claimed to be greater than 80% at full load. They are hot swappable, have high temperature shutdown with auto recovery, overload, over-voltage and short circuit protection and operate at full load up to 55°C without derating, subject to forced air cooling at 250linear feet/min. Line regulation is ±0.5%, 3.3 and 5V load regulation ±1%, 5V ripple is 60mVpp, 3.3V ripple is 90mVpp. All front panels are fitted with an EMI gasket and guide pin, protective ground, injector or extractors and keying to conform to IEEE 1101.10/11.
