Arcolectric has announced a range of anti-microbial switches as part of an exclusive partnership with BioCote. Arcolectric's 1500 standard and 1300 high inrush single pole rocker switches, 1550 standard rocker and 1350 high inrush double pole rocker switches, 8500 and 8550 miniature rocker switches, 8300 push button switches, 6050 double pole and twin splash resistant switches and transparent splash or dust proof covers will be manufactured with BioCote's silver ion technology during the moulding process. This is claimed to reduce microbes including bacteria mould and fungi by up to 99.9%. The anti-microbial switches can be used in a variety of setting from healthcare and laboratory science to education, catering, leisure and high traffic, public places.
