VCC has developed a panel-mounted, ruggedised indicator that meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association 4 requirements for resistance to dust, wind, rain and other threats in harsh environment applications. Designated CNX 480, the indicator is suitable for military, medical, construction, and aerospace applications.
The LED indicator is wide-angle viewable and provides good visibility even in direct sunlight. It offers ESD protection and is available with a wide selection of LED, lens and body colours.
The indicator's housing is made of rugged, anodised aluminum, with a steel zinc-plated lock washer that carries a 94-V0 UL rating. The lens is made up of water-transparent polycarbonate with a 94-V2 UL rating.
The indicator has been tested to withstand a temperature range of -40 to +85°C, shock to 6Gs, and vibration to 2000Hz, as well as solar and UV testing.
